I grew up in a home that cherished art and promoted creativity. After a lifetime of creative engagement—including several years as a self-employed artist—I decided to focus on design as a career.
I’m a believer in lifelong education, both formal and informal. During my six years in college, I studied design, history, and international affairs—but my informal education extends much further into psychology, sociology, art, and political science. In a perfect world, I would spend the remainder of my life reading books and taking classes.
After years of job experience across a variety of fields, I returned to school for to study design—a field that combines nearly all of my interests. Design provides powerful problem solving frameworks by leveraging empathy, context, and creative constraints. Whether designing screens for an app or digital artwork for a takeout bag, I love combining creativity and analytical reasoning to meet user needs.
